Composites: Explain why a composite has more desirable properties than either of its two constituent materials on their own and why this needs to be taken into account during aircraft design. Include in your discussion what are Thermoplastic & Thermoset giving examples for both.

Processes: Explain with examples the processes: Solution Treatment, Precipitation Treatment, Carburising and Nitriding. Explain how an age hardened rivet can be used on aircraft assemblies.
