- Investigate how emoticons are used differently by male and female in social media
- to examine how Saudi teenagers express their virtual identities through language by looking on the language and the pictures used in their profiles
- it examines how they interact ‘ whether with words, emoticons or pictures’ and comment on others tweets and photos
- A comparison was conducted between the virtual identities of Saudi teen males and females in order to find out similarities and differences which could be resulted because of the aspect of gender variation.
