2. Cultivation & Processing – how is the commodity grown and processed? What are some common uses? What is an interesting use of of the commodity?
3. Distribution Channel – how is the product distributed from the farmer to the end user? You can also provide examples of farmers, processors, distributors and others in the distribution channel.
4. Economic Value – in which California counties is/are the commodity grown? What is the economic value of commodity by California county, California, and the United States? What are the export values and export countries?
5. Impact on Society – discuss how the development of the commodity has impacted society? This requires researching information beyond statements of simple and obvious observations of impacts on society. Also, share with the class something interesting about your commodity your group comes across in your research.
