For this essay you will be synthesizing your own family history with the sociological perspective on families developed throughout the course. The goal is to understand your own family experiences through a sociological lens and to develop what C. Wright Mills called the sociological imagination. You must use the sociological concepts, theories, and patterns that are discussed in class to examine the particular history of your own family.
