What is the new strategic role of human resources (HR)? How does this role affect you in your current position? Is this effect positive or negative? Why?

The human resource department is a key ingredient to success in many organizations. “However, research has demonstrated that HRM practices can be valuable. Decisions such as whom to hire, what to pay, what training to offer, and how to evaluate employee performance directly affect employees’ motivation and ability to provide goods and services that customers value (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, & Wright, 2007).” The
