Tyco International will have to overcome many obstacles to rebuild consumer trust after “former chief executive officer (CEO), Dennis Kozlowski and former chief financial officer Mark Swartz were convicted of grand larceny, conspiracy, and fraud” (Hitt, Ireland, & Hoskisson, 2009, p. 321). Therefore, Tyco must understand how the lack of corporate governance contributed to this collapse, how Kozlowski employed organizational structure and controls to implement the strategic plan, the role of leadership through implementation, and how strategic entrepreneurship created value at Tyco International.
