Discuss the cultural significance and consequences of assimilation in our society. Specifically, CLEARLY define the concept of assimilation from the Feagin and Feagin text and discuss AT LEAST 2 ethnic and/or racial groups of people in your analysis. What are some of the challenges the groups you’ve chosen have faced? In what ways have they resisted the pressure to assimilate? How do these two groups compare and contrast in their experiences? Finally, in your conclusion, what are some of your predictions for the future, in terms of assimilation as it relates to these two groups that you chose?
