Paper instructions:
Please write a big paper of at least 1500 words on

the following list of theories below. Please follow the

instructions in the syllabus for writing the big papers.

Which ethical theory is best? Your thesis must state

the theory that you will argue is best. You must explain

each of the 5 views view in section 2 of your paper

using at least one paragraph for each of the 5 views. In

section 3, you must critically discuss each of the 5

views (at least one paragraph for each), and argue for

your thesis. Try to use examples to explain things.

Which theory is most likely to give the right answers

about what is morally right or wrong? Do not copy a

single word from the Internet. Use your own words,

and if you get ideas from somewhere else, you must

give a citation to avoid plagiarism.

1. Utilitarianism

2. Kant’s duty-defined morality

3. Aquinas’ natural law theory

4 Aristotles’ virtue ethics

5. You have a choice. Do either the Divine

Command Theory or Care Ethics, but not both. (See

the PowerPoint on Ethics for these two. You can read

about feminist ethics on page 535 in the textbook if you

want to get larger ideas that also apply to Care Ethics.)
