Mini Project:
Topic: process improvement,
Your task will be to improve (correct) a real operations process. (a very small one) to provide a solution to the problem and write a one-page recommendation. Note that you must enclose a copy of your analytical work as an appendix to backup your recommendation.

the appendix page should have the following: flow chart of the process under study, Pareto chart, control chart (C char,or P chart or Xbar& R chart), and cause & effect diagram (fishbone)).

In your report you have clearly explain how you gathered data

General Report-Writing Hints
1-Clearly state the project: (1) what you intend to study ;( 2) source of data and the method of data gathering (how you gathered data, and from where you have gathered data), and (3) the methodology you intend to use to analyze data.

2-organize and develop ideas logically and completely

3- Make a sophisticated connection between ideas (paper has to have a good flow to interest the reader or to impress the reader) the reader can not follow your thought when the fragmented information is presented. Unconnected thought causes that a reader does not conclude what you want (you can not sell your idea)

4-Support your ideas (findings) by referring the reader to tables & charts which summarize your findings

5-Articlaute in general purpose language (plain English) and if necessary technical language. Try to minimize technical expressions.

6. Give a summary of your work and address the constraints and barriers you faced with ,and if possible, suggest what could be done to provide more reliable results.

7- Make sure your writing is free from errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mechanics)

8- Do not teach the methodology which you used in your study. Give a brief review and then provide references for those who are interested to know more about the approach(s).

9- Provide the charts and tables in appendices
