A case note is a student-written article that reviews an area of law through extensive evaluation and analysis of a recent case. A case note serves two purposes. First, it reviews an area of law by researching the background and then extensively analyzing and evaluating the case. Second, a case note takes a progressive look at the impact the case will have on the current law; not only in the case�s immediate areas but also in other areas of the law.
