This is a 90 minute documentary by Hilari Scarl – be sure to allow yourself enough time.%u0432%u0402%u0401This DVD is available at the reserve desk in the library, you can check it out and watch it in the library. You might also be able to find it on-line at places such as Amazon Prime. In the past you could %u0432%u0402˜rent%u0432%u0402%u2122 it from YouTube for $2.99 %u0432%u0402%u201C I am not sure of the details or if this is still available. If you look on You Tube, make sure you find the 90 %u0432%u0402%u201C minute documentary, be-careful because these is also an interview with the author %u0432%u0402%u201C that is different from what I want you to watch.)

Technical Requirements: For this assignment, you can answer each question individually, you do not need to write it as a paper. College level English should be used with 1.5 line spacing, 1 inch margins and either 10 or 11 point font. In total, it should be at least 2 pages long. (See the grading criteria at the end and make sure you are providing enough information to get full credit for each category)

This documentary will expose you to the live experiences of four different people. This assignment asks you to consider what you saw and compare this your experiences and your culture.

1. For each of these four individuals in the documentary, provide a brief succinct summary and describe the issue(s) that they faced. e.g, describe the first person and their obstacles, then the second person, ect. )%u0432%u0402%u0401%u0432%u0402%u0401

2. Pick the individual that you can most relate with. Tell who you choose and describe why you chose that person. Provide similarities, differences and give explanations/examples. Go beyond superficial differences such as %u0432%u0402˜they are deaf and I am not%u0432%u0402%u045C. (this is worth 5 points, so provide %u0432%u0402˜5-points%u0432%u0402%u2122 worth of information.)

3. Pick two individuals that are different from the person you chose above for #2. For each of these individuals, think about, and describe options each person could have used to help resolve some of the obstacles they faced.
