Research Paper (25%): Thursday 21 April
Students will compose one written essay (typed, double spaced, 12pt New Times Roman font, 1 inch margins) on a topic of choice, to be presented to the professor in a “Research Paper Proposal.”  The proposal will be worth 5% of your final grade, while the essay will be worth 25% of your final grade.  The essay must be 8-10 pages in length (approx. 3,000 words).  The essay will use a minimum of 7 secondary sources and 1 primary source, with proper historical citation and bibliography.  The textbook may be used as a source.
